Self-Portrait

My first conscious self-portrait :)

I don´t know why but every time I present myself and my work in public events such as art fairs, I often come across people telling me "Oh! Your dolls and the faces you paint are so much like you!" Yes! I have noticed that the my eyes are very similar to the ones I paint. Moreover I came to realise, during the workshops I lecture in my own studio, specialy when I'm teatching others to draw faces, that almost everyone has a natural tendency to draw their own eyes, at least when they are drawing from within, from the heart ...

O meu primeiro auto-retrato consciente :)

Quendo faço feiras, exposições ouço frequentemente "As suas bonecas /caras são tão parecidas consigo" . É verdade, á uns anos atrás reparei que os meus olhos são muito similares aos que pinto e mais...como sabem  dou workshops no meu atelier e quando ensino a desenhar caras,  reparei que quando se desenha do coração, de dentro á uma tendencia para se desenhar os próprios olhos... (mesmo sem se saber)

I find this beautiful, since the eyes are said to be the mirror of our souls... so in a way, I think all of this makes perfectly good sense!
