Planting seeds

Last Saturday may 11^th, with purpose of a different day, the day event "Open Studio” really happened. I opened my house’s doors and my heart’s to those who wanted to meet me, see my work or paint, share, ask me something and maybe learn something from my experience as an artist.

It was a delightful day filled with good surprises, good conversation and awesome people.

No dia 11 de maio aconteceu na minha  casa atelier um evento “open Studio” com o propósito de um dia diferente, em que abri as portas da minha casa e do meu coração J para quem gostasse de me conhecer a mim ao meu trabalho e ainda pintar, partilhar, perguntar e quem sabe aprender alguma coisa da minha experiencia como artista plástica.

Foi um dia cheio de boas surpresas, de boa conversa  e de pessoas fantásticas.

Throughout the day, between coffees, strawberries, homemade cookies and tea, I had the opportunity to realize how important and wonderful it is to have someone who listens and someone you can ask almost anything. Someone, who understands what you mean.

Someone who understands your real challenges when you want to chase your dream!

Finding out and understanding how things really work, how to get there, on what steps, on what thoughts, how to manage your time and, above all, how to keep focus, means a LOT!

Ao longo do dia entre cafés, morangos, bolinhos e chá  tive a oportunidade maravilhosa de me aperceber da necessidade imensa de ter alguém para perguntar, para falar , alguém que entenda.

Ter alguém que entenda quais os teus desafios reais quando queres perseguir um sonho!

Descobrir e entender  como é que as coisas funcionam, como é que se chega lá, quais os passos, qual a forma de pensar, como gerir tempo e acima de tudo onde nos focar, significa MUITO!

Crafters and artists stuffed inside their working spaces, connecting only through computer screens, is definitely not enough. This event we created, of open conversation, for me was magical and I am sure we will have to do it again.

Artesãos e artista todos enfiados dentro dos seus ateliers e a conectar apenas pelo ecrã do computador, definitivamente não chega. Este espaço que criamos de conversa e abertura, para mim foi mágico e com a certeza de que temos que voltar a repetir.

I am so very grateful to all who came over, and grateful for all the support I got, and so grateful for my love´s precious help for the success of this event.

For those outside Lisbon-Portugal, I really wished you could be here. Maybe next time. I hope so ;)

Muito grata por todos os que passaram por aqui, grata pelo apoio e muito grata ao meu amor que foi uma ajuda preciosa para o sucesso deste evento.

The fact that I can plant a seed and it becomes a flower, share a bit of knowledge and it becomes another's, smile at someone and receive a smile in return, are to me continual spiritual exercises.
