Join Mindy Lacefield and Susana Tavares for an exploration into all kinds of Mixed Media Characters! We will have fun creating and being inspired by fables, movies, books, cartoons, and rides. Get ready because Mindy and I have given you a heaping plate full of inspiration and heartwarming love into each of our characters. We each bring out own style to the characters and cherish the nostalgia of why we are drawn into this magical, enchanted space!

Details about the class and format:

• Class begins January 1st, 2016
• Registration $99
• lifetime access to the classroom (so that you can work at your own pace)
• there will be a Facebook group

Mindy will create:

• Cinderella (based on the new live-action movie)
• Alice in wonderland
• Princess Tiana (the frog princess)
• Haunted Mansion girl
• Jellyfish girl (girl inspired from the Pixar parade at Disney's California Adventure park)
• Corpse Bride
• Candlehead (from Wreck it Ralph - bonus project)

                      

Susana will create:

• Agnes from Despicable Me
• Tinkerbell
• Little Mermaid
• Merida - from Brave
• Once upon a winter time - (storybook)
• Snow White

                         

We have 2 guest artists: 

Micki Wilde 

She will be creating a beautiful project inspired by Rapunzel.

Nymph - Mixed media Portrait

What can I tell you, beside the immense pleasure that I felt, creating this painting. It was created during the night when the house was quiet and I was able to listen and to feel more. It´s a Nymph!

How to draw an Angel

                    

Today I am sharing with you how can you draw a sweet Angel, use the sheet below to guide you. Wishing you a happy drawing!

                      

Print this sheet - right click, save image as..., then go to your images and print on a A4 size 

Some ideas:

- draw your angel and paint it with markers on your journal ( give yourself quality creative time)

- draw your angel on a canvas and paint it with acrylic paints ( it can even make a beautiful gift)

- make sweet gift tags or postcards for your Christmas gifts

Enjoy and have fun creating with Angels 

( you can even call your guiding Angels to create with you)

Frida Kahlo original watercolor painting

          

Yesterday I was making a custom Frida Kahlo in my studio and I thought, "why not making this watercolor Fridas available for everyone!" 

So I have created a listing in my shop where you can order your watecolor Frida and cherry on the top of the cake, you can choose the colors you love, and I will make a Frida in Watercolor specially for you :)

I love so much her sweet face and flowers in her head.... Now imagine in your favorite colors ;)

                

This how she will be packaged, with a stiff cardboard back, a protective sleeve and a banner, with a hand write, Frida quote.

I hope you enoy it as much as I do!!!!!

Christmas shop update!!!!

               

I have been working a lot on Christmas news for you and I want to tell you, that they are in my shop, available. I have retreat myself last week making angel dolls, ornaments and sweet decorations for this Holiday season. I have make it earlier this year because as you know I am in Portugal and I want to make sure every thing is shipped and arrives on time to your home :)

Today I am not posting everything, because it was a very long post, I will be posting during the next days everything that I have created.

Autumn mini class

Autumn is my favorite time of the year, in this time I really feel more creative, more playful, more crafty. So I knew we have to create something together!!!!!

If you like to be creative, draw, paint and explore several materials and techniques, I am offering an Autumn Mini Class-  "Love Autumn days!"

What you will get from this class:

- We will start by making a simple Autumn journal page

- Make a portrait - we will make an Autumn sweet girl and explore mixed media techniques : draw faces, painting, texture, collage, stamp, making a sweet animal and natural elements (the one one the picture).

- I will provide inspiration and you will have some sheets to print

- video time: more or less 1h 30 ( 5 part video portrait + 1 journaling video)

This will be a self-thought class, in English only.
