A part of me is no longer in Lisbon ...


I'm almost on vacations, it's already this weekend. It seems that my body is already preparing itself, as it is becoming more and more difficult to think clearly and doing whatever. I'm getting slower and I need to be able to focus again. I need to breathe deeply and feel that peace, I only feel when I´m by the sea ... so that I may sort out and clarify what I'm going to do next. Seting up intentions, positive and filled with love. Intentions that truly connect me with the person I am.

Uma parte de mim já não está em lisboa...


estou quase de férias, e é já no final desta semana, parece que o meu corpo já se está a preparar pois estou a ficar com dificuldades em pensar e em fazer seja o que fôr estou a ficar lenta e a precisar de me centrar outra vez. Preciso de respirar profundamente e de sentir aquela paz que eu só sinto quando estou perto do mar... e tentar arrumar e clarificar o que vou fazer a seguir e estabelecer intenções, positivas e cheias de amor que conectem verdadeiramente com a pessoa que eu sou.

 

 
 
I have a little story to tell you, a few years ago my mother offered me the Universal wisdom oracle cards , which I loved from the heart and became a tool for me to arrange my thoughts and anxieties. I take a card with a message and I easily focus again on what is important. On several occasions, the card that appeared in my readings was the Intention card and this time I did a click and so I came up with this idea of ​​creating this mini workbook so I and you can work in our intentions ;)

Eu tenho uma pequena história para vos contar, há uns anos atrás a minha mãe ofereceu-me um oraculo, de sabedoria Universal, que eu adorei de coração e tornou-se para mim uma ferramenta para eu arrumar os meus pensamentos e ansiedades. Eu tiro uma carta com uma mensagem e fácilmente me foco outra vez no que é importante,  por várias vezes, a carta que apareceu nas minhas leituras foi a carta da intensão e desta vez eu fiz um click e assim surgiu esta ideia de eu criar este mini workbook para que eu e tu possamos trabalhar as nossas intenções ;)

I think we have to celebrate whenever we can, the amazing things we have in life and I have fantastic women in my life, my mother, my aunt, my sisters ... and all the women who support me every days with words of love and dedication to my work and that, includes you in my list of wonderful women :) now my thank you that comes from my soul and heart ... that knows that we must always thank the big things , the small things and beautiful things (please don´t forget).

Plaster Studio: Mixed-Media Techniques for Painting, Casting and Carving

I am having a blast with this fabulous book from Judy Wise and Stephanie Lee's full of wonderful projects and techniques with plaster...so much fun!!!!! I totally recommend it :)

The Butterfly Project...

Remember that wonderful project ... The Butterfly Project . Well then, I thought it would be a good idea to involve my children, and my daughter was delighted with the idea, so there we went to school, making butterflies!!!!! All together to send to the Holocaust Museum ... a fantastic family of butterflies carrying an immense love from these children

Lembram-se daquele projecto maravilhoso...The Butterfly Project. Pois então, pensei que seria uma óptima ideia envolver as minhas crianças, a minha filha ficou deliciada pela ideia e lá fomos nós, para a escola, fazer borboletas. Todos juntos para enviar para o Museu do Holocausto...uma familia fantástica de borboletas que leva um amor imenso destes meninos

So now you ask, How do you made this wonderful Butterflies????  ;)

E agora perguntas (e bem...) como é que fizeram estas lindas Borboletas???? ;)

We use a lot of materials that surely you can find in your home.

Such as: a transparent plastic bag, a pipe cleaner, ribbons, bits of fabric, beads, bits of colored paper and adhesive tape to close our butterfly
And now it's just fun ... fill your bag with the material you chose, bending your plastic bag in half and glue it with adhesive tape (the back) to do the body and the chopsticks of your butterfly rolled in the middle with your pipe cleaner.
If you want you can draw a picture or write a phrase : ) then tape them with a large adhesive tape to your butterfly.

Usámos um monte de materiais que com certeza encontram lá por casa.

Tais como: um saco de plástico transparente,1 limpa cachimbos,fitas, bocadinhos de tecido, contas em madeira, pedacinhos de papeis coloridos e fita cola para fechar a nossa borboleta
E agora é só diversão...enche o teu saco com os materiais que escolheste, dobra o teu saco de plástico a meio e cola-o com fita cola ( na parte de trás) para fazeres o corpo e os pauzinhos da tua borboleta enrola a meio o teu limpa cachimbos.
Se gostares podes fazer um desenho ou escrever uma frase :) e cola-os com fita cola larga á tua borboleta.
Diverte-te!!!!

Art dolls

This is Butterfly Lover inspired by nature and butterflies, she love the delicacy and freedom of butterflies! yes...she would love to fly...but she does, in her mind with her dreams :)

 She starts with a unique draw, not a mold...she is all hand made, first with fabric, and sculped with clay. Then it´s worked like a painting in 3 dimentions, with lot´s of details with collage, acrilic paint, pastel, stamps,crackled , crayons... all this details are telling a story, her unique and special story.

 I love to make dolls that celebrates life and the wonderful and precious things we have...like our Home :)

Home is a one of kind doll sculped with clay and she stands in a wood block worked with mixed media techniques.

This two beautiful and special dolls are in my shop available for bring joy to your home and heart

A love story in a painting

It's always a pleasure for me to paint love, the love of two people or the love of family, are paintings that I always do with a lot of affection and dedication.

This order began to be worked directly from a small drawing on a sheet of paper, where the couple finds its position on the canvas, I got the two in one side of the screen as if they wanted to stay close to each other and with much love to give .

É sempre um prazer para mim pintar amor, o amor de duas pessoas ou de uma familia, são quadros que faço sempre com muito carinho e dedicação.

Esta encomenda começou a ser trabalhada apartir de um pequeno desenho numa folha de papel, onde o casal encontra a sua posição na tela, eu cheguei os dois a um lado da tela como se quisessem estar sempre perto um do outro e com muito amor para dar.



 

I drew on canvas with black pencil and add several elements of collage on paper with colors and shapes that make me remember love, warm, healthy,  inner richness...

Desenhei na tela a lápiz preto e a adicionar diversos elementos de colagem em papel com cores e figuras que me fizessem lembrar amor, quente, saudável , riqueza interior ...



I began to add paint with my hands, brush and roll ... and the textures begin to emerge.

Começei a adicionar tinta com as mãos, pincel e rolo...e as texturas começam a surgir.

I look and look again, and create a little more that catches my attention, adding, pulling, stretching, stamping, ... like a dance, with great music

Olho e olho outra vez, e crio mais um bocadinho que me chama a atenção,tiro, retiro, risco, carimbo, colo...como numa dança, com muita musica

He has so much to give her ... so many great things!

She is sweet and always have flowers to give that gives from the heart ... and the two dream and live, grow and complement each other!

Bloom True Workshop...

This weekend I've been to "Bloom True" Workshop, with Flora Bowley, and it was realy worth it :)

I loved knowing Flora and her painting techniques, that are, at the same time, so free and revealing of our way of seeing, being and moving in this world ... truly inspirational, experimenting with no mistakes ...

definitely a wonderful way to grow and finding your own true voice .

Eu adorei conhecer a Flora e as suas tecnicas de pintura que são, ao mesmo tempo, tão livres e reveladoras da nossa forma de ver, estar e movimentarmo-nos neste mundo...verdadeiramente inspirador e defenitivamente uma forma de crescer e de auto-conhecimento maravilhosa, apartir da experimentação e sem erros ...

A creative weekend...

I am so happy that Flora Bowley is coming to Portugal and I am going to participate in her  Bloom True workshop...I love to learn and share with other artists. Especially because I know quite a few in person and talk with someone who understands entirelly what it is to be an artist to me is a real privilege.

In my Studio ...

Hello everyone, this week is not easy with the blog, with the photos .... with the comments, I can not do in any blog ... probably will not be the only one with this problem ... if anyone knows what is happening and be able to help, I appreciate it :)

Well, well, well ....here in my studio is all one big mess of fabric, paper, ribbons and whatever you want to imagine spread out, the tables and floor.
I'm working on two orders for two new stores where you will be able to find my products here in Portugal. One in Coimbra and other Antroph (Faro) the Colar de contas :)

Olá a todos, esta semana a coisa não está facil com o blog, com as fotografias....com os comentários , que não consigo fazer em nenhum blog... provavelmente não serei a unica com este problema...se alguem souber o que se passa e puder ajudar, eu agradeço :)

Bem, aqui no meu atelier está tudo uma grande confusão de tecidos, papel, fitas e o que mais quiserem imaginar espalhado, pelas mesas e chão.
Estou a trabalhar em duas encomendas para duas novas lojas onde vão poder encontrar os meus produtos aqui em Portugal. Uma em Coimbra a Antroph e outra no Algarve (Faro) a Colar de contas :)

Something to read on the weekend ...

I found this intresting e-book in Imaginative Bloom -  " 9 creative Woman share secrets to succeeding with social Media" and I thought in share it with you. Social Media is so very important for those who have small business ,and use it the right way can help a lot ...I am always learning!!! I spend a lot of time in my computador and sometimes is so frustrating , when what I really want is spend more time in my studio get all messy with my paints and create. It´s not easy to be balanced...so usually in the mornings and night I am in the computer and my  afternoons I spend in my studio...not perfect, but it´s working :)

Tell me, how do you get organized with social media and creative work ?

Eu encontrei este super interessante E-book no site da Imaginative Bloom - "9 creative woman share secrets to suceeding with social media" e pensei em partilhá-la contigo. Para quem tem pequenos negócios as redes sociais são realmente importantes, e usá-las de forma correcta pode ajudar e muito....eu estou sempre a aprender!!

Eu passo muito do meu tempo no meu computador, que por vezes, se torna também muito frustrante, quando aquilo que eu realmente queria, era passar mais tempo no meu atelier cheia de tinta e em processo creativo. Não é fácil equilibrar tudo....então normalmente as minhas manhãs e noites são para as redes sociais e as minhas tardes passo no meu atelier.....não é perfeito, mas vai funcionando :)

Conta-me como é que organizas o teu tempo nas redes sociais e trabalho creativo?
