New adventures on digital art

I am being very inspired to create on my iPad and make digital art, since I am developing an oracle card deck, I am finding more easy for me to also create on this Procreate app, that really opens up lots of possibilities and I love to learn and expand my creativity on new ways.

Life changes

It's been a while since I made a blog post and I hope everything is going well with you :)

In these days I am honoring the simplicity of being and integrate this new life change, I am going to make, with my move to Brussels.

We are in the moment searching for our new home, organizing stuff, some to let go ( new life , new stuff, I believe ;) and some to go. While we are trying to figure it out all of this, one day at a time, I have adopted a new Pomerania puppy. Yehhheeiiii!!!! My inner child was asking and Pooh is now our new friend. He is such a joy and Bolota and him are already friends and the kids ohhhhh, they love Pooh so much. He really bring pure positive energy into our home and lots of smiles and laughs :)

Simple creative time

What can be better than allow yourself to have quality creative time in a simple way.

Life will feel much better if you take time to slow down.

Taking time for yourself will nurture and uplift you and you totally deserve it ;)

Being creative is one of the ways that I love to nourish my energy, I just grab some simple materials, like a journal, markers, oil pastels, and 2 or 3 colors of paint. Choose what you like.

Put some music or hear something inspirational on the background, focus on your breathing and start creating without any rules, just what comes to your mind and go with the flow. Let your hand and intuition do the work. 

This is your time, so be who you need to be and express yourself with no worries.

You can just make some doodles, spread different colors of paint in a abstract way, feel your way into it and don't invite your critical side to play ;)

When you breath deeply and create, you are making an active meditation, this simple creative time will help you to connect with your inner self, to relax, to energize you and create a peaceful state of mind.

I hope you are inspired to give yourself creative time,

This is Hope.

I can't get enough of painting woman's portraits, is just something it feels so natural to me. I love to be involved in the process of creation and step by step she emerges from shadings of paint and it's always so gratifying to finally meet her :)

This one was sold yesterday on my shop :)

Healing painting

                    

Today I am sharing a painting in progress in one of those days that I was feeling "meh" ;)

Anyway, I was giving a walk on the street and I hear inside of me - Paint!

I thought- "seriously I think I am not in the mood for painting..." But since I am making my days unscheduled as possible and feeling my way into it, I resolved to follow my inner voice.

I got home and I started, without any inspiration, just spreading some paint, doodling, collaging...

                      

I turned my canvas some times in different directions and I found this woman and then the boy, when I started drawing the boy, tears dropped down my face and I could not control, this never had happened to me before. I continue with my process, deeply feeling I was healing something in me.

                     

I felt a deep gratitude and some insights come to me, about what I was healing, while I continue to paint.

My body and mind were so much lighter and a strong energie was flowing inside and around me and stayed present during some hours. A powerful energy is the best way my words can describe it.

                     

Making art or expressing yourself through art, when you allow to be yourself in the moment, can really be a powerful way to deal with your issues and transmutate them into something positive. Making energy flow to you and through you. Maybe a healing powerful moment, to set free what no longer serves you.

This painting is not finished yet... i am waiting my voice tell me again to continue and for sure I will follow.

Painting process - mixed media

Today I am sharing pics from my latest painting. This way you can see the piece growing.

A conversation between paper, paint and my soul.

In this painting I am using a cardboard as a base for my painting, and I have started with collage, gesso and making some marks with black paint. Then I have made a scketch of my character.

Using here several shadings of greens + pink to paint her face and blue to her hair.

Next step is to add more details and define her face. 

A bunny join the party and I have give more color to the background  with yellow, greens and pinks.

Loving my new color Apple green :)

Using pastels to make marks and define her dress.

Flowers for her hair and a heart for the bunny ( I think he is in love)

Finished with more pencil marks and doodles and a tale for our little friend.

In this painting I think a bunny is in love with a princess... How cute is that!

Fresh paint, fresh life.

              

I am so happy today is Friday and tomorrow is Saturday, after my week in my new life, it really feels good to sleep a bit more and have a lazy morning.

The balance of this first week is really good, my husband is adapting but happy to be in Brussels and Skype really helps us, to make the distance shorter ;)

              

In this moment of my life with all this changes at my door, I really feel the importance of taking care of myself and keeping good practices during my day. Starting my day with meditation and in a grateful, intentional way. It really helps me to be energized, focused and happy.

I have taken some time to write and walk in the mornings with my dog. This practices make feel more present and for now, I am choosing what makes me feel good. 

My days seem very long and this week OMG like a month.... Really!

I am wishing that time pass a little more faster ;)

The kids today we're counting how many days we will be here in Portugal and we count- 175 :) they are excited to start a new life, with a new home and new school and they want to be with dad, and me too ;)

Original charcoal big drawings

Some days I just want to go to my studio table and work with my simplest materials, charcoal, watercolor and white paint. Simplicity gives me a sense of space and really smooth my mind while I move my pencil through the page and breath deeply, I allow myself to enjoy the moment of creation.

It feels so good :)

My kids are on vacations, so I will slow down and enjoy their presence in the house and have fun ;)

Nymph - Mixed media Portrait

What can I tell you, beside the immense pleasure that I felt, creating this painting. It was created during the night when the house was quiet and I was able to listen and to feel more. It´s a Nymph!

How to draw an Angel

                    

Today I am sharing with you how can you draw a sweet Angel, use the sheet below to guide you. Wishing you a happy drawing!

                      

Print this sheet - right click, save image as..., then go to your images and print on a A4 size 

Some ideas:

- draw your angel and paint it with markers on your journal ( give yourself quality creative time)

- draw your angel on a canvas and paint it with acrylic paints ( it can even make a beautiful gift)

- make sweet gift tags or postcards for your Christmas gifts

Frida Kahlo original watercolor painting

          

Yesterday I was making a custom Frida Kahlo in my studio and I thought, "why not making this watercolor Fridas available for everyone!" 

So I have created a listing in my shop where you can order your watecolor Frida and cherry on the top of the cake, you can choose the colors you love, and I will make a Frida in Watercolor specially for you :)

I love so much her sweet face and flowers in her head.... Now imagine in your favorite colors ;)

                

This how she will be packaged, with a stiff cardboard back, a protective sleeve and a banner, with a hand write, Frida quote.
