So much light around you! Creative process

I have been thinking about the creative process and how we can flow with ease through it (more about it on my latest post) and since I practice to first be aligned and feel good and then create, inspiration comes in the most unexpected ways.

Yesterday we decided to go out to lunch and see the carpet flower in the Grand Place here in Brussels. It was a beautiful sunny day, great music on the streets and the food delicious. Everyone was in a great mood, relaxed, expecting the best and when you expect the best, you always get the best, right! 

So I was happy and when I was in the subway to come back home, I was looking around, seeing different kinds of persons, doing different things and when I look at them, I'll start to make tiny stories about them. 

This was a pure creative moment. I was seeing the best part of every person around me,  like their light was touching my soul, so beautiful!!!

So now it's your turn :)

Put yourself in a good mood, catch the subway or go for a garden were you can see people. 

Everyone has light and a beautiful soul, set an intention to see the light of the world. Ohhh God so good!!!!

Now look at one person at a time an see it with the eyes of an angel, just looking for the best. Look into their souls and let their light touch your heart. Let the light of the world be shown to you. Grab a piece of paper and a pen a see what happens.

A more confident, artistic you! - Flourish 101

Today I have great news to share with you, I will be part of a new art-venture called “U Thrive” (University Thrive), with MysteleKirkeeng and Heather Santos at *Community Thrive.

So I will be part of the teachers on the online class Flourish 101, with Brandi Evans and Gerda Smit.

Fairy world original drawings

              

Sometimes fairies surround me with their precious inspiration, especially when I go to a garden or I am in nature. 

I love the elemental world,  they are so mysterious and magical. I feel uplifted every time I think about them. Absolutely they are pure positive energy.

Now I ask you- do you believe in fairies? I hope you say - I do, I do, I do!!!!! ;)

Be the light - painting process

                   

Are you ready to take your journal and paint for a while?

I hope so because I have this creative process to share with you ;)

                 

Step 1 - spread some watercolor in several tones in your journal 

If you don´t have watercolors you can use acrylic paint mixed with a bit of water

Step 2 - make a collage with some vintage and painted papers 

               

Step 3 - with a pallet knife spread some white paint or gesso on top of the watercolor to seal them.

Step 4 - grab a charcoal pencil and make some doodles and marks on your page, it's fun and gives texture

               

Step 5 - stamp - I have used several stamps, a butterfly , a plant and the striped pattern above. Use your intuition and follow ;)

Step 6 - one more layer, using the faber castell pitt pens. I have doodle with the pens , defining some areas and put some water on top to dissolve the ink. 

               

Step 7 - acrylic paint in flesh tone to start the face and a turquoise inside the round shape. You can even spread the same colors here and there on your backgroung, to give a sense of balance to the painting.

               

Step 8- time to paint the face, I used watercolors in tones of blue, green, orange and white acrylic paint to shade her and give her some hair (black watercolor)

Step 9 - define the eyes and her features with a black pitt pen

               

Step 10- I found that sweet bird flying on the background ;) painted with an orange acrylic paint and for the wings 2 different pinks with oil pastel.

Step 11- make a yellow aura around her with oil pastel

Step 12- finish with some geometric shapes and flowers (made with my black pencil) and choose some beautiful words to your painting

I allow inspiration come trough me

Animals and nature, have this beauty that touches our hearts. The years are passing and I found myself with a special care with my plants, appreciating moment in nature like I have never done before, feeling this connection with planet Earth and putting my love in form of paintings.

I have been super inspired by young people that are moving and sending their good vibes to our dear planet Earth. If you want to be inspired by the power of this new generation and be  filled with hope - Earth Guardians 

I really want to celebrate animals and nature! This is the first of these series a baby monkey :)

Little Mermaid - watercolor painting

As you know I am drawn to this watercolor exploration, and I am so in love with the amazing possibilities this tiny box can give just with a few more materials.

This mini people has been transformed in notebook covers :) 

They are so adorable you have to check them out!

For this covers + blank journal, I have used cardboard, fabrics, lace and a Mini people all stitched together ;)

The mini people are laminated so you can wear them safely.

                   

Autumn always give me this need to invent, to transform, to craft, to bring the new into my life and my shop ;)
